INTRODUCTION
============
1.1 Foreword
	This driver diskette should be used with all Promise SATAII 150/300
	Series adapter and onboard chipsets running under RedHat Linux operating 
	systems.
	Do NOT use this diskette for other linux distributions or other Promise 
	product

INSTALLATION
============
	Extract the contents of the ZIP file on to a formatted floppy disk.
	(ZIP file can be extracted by `WinZIP' in windows or `unzip' in linux)
	Label the disk "SATAII 150/300 Driver Disk".
2.1 To install the SATA150/300 Series Linux Driver into an EXISTING SYSTEM:

    1.) Boot linux system and login as root.
    2.) Insert SATAII 150/300 Driver Disk for install driver by issuing commands:
	# mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
	# cd /mnt/floppy
	# sh install	(Answer Yes/No when inquire setup configuration)
	You can answer Yes to load SATAII 150 driver when linux booting
        everytime.
	# cd ..
	# umount /dev/fd0

2.2 To install the SATAII 150/300 Series Linux Driver into a NEW SYSTEM

    1.) Start the RedHat Linux Installation with CD ROM booting.
    2.) At the "Welcome to Red Hat linux ..." installation screen, a prompt
        labeled "boot:" will appear at the bottom of the screen.
    3.) Please type "linux dd" (without quotations) at the "boot:" prompt, then
        press the enter key. (See Note 3.1)
    4.) Under the dialog box of "Driver Disk", press "OK" or "Yes" to continue.
    5.) Under the installation is at the dialog box of "Driver Disk Source",
    	please choice the "fd0" to serve as source and press the "OK" button. 
    6.) Insert the SATAII 150/300 Driver Disk floppy, press "OK" to continue
        to load SATAII 150/300 driver.
    8.) And the dialog box of "Loading" will be showing the message of Reading the Driver Disk and Loading ulsata2.ko.
    9.) When the dialog box of "More Driver Disk" appears on the screen, 
    	it shall be done for loading the driver of PROMISE SATAII 150/300.

NOTE
============
3.1	Red Hat linux will not prove on board IDE as standard ide0 and ide1
	on some mother boards; for prevent this, We need append boot 
	parameters such as:

	ide0=0x1f0,0x3f6,14 ide1=0x170,0x376,15 ide2=0 ide3=0 ide4=0 ide5=0
	ide6=0 ide7=0 ide8=0 ide9=0
        
3.2     Regarding Driver Disk and IMG file, you can use "dd" command under the Linux OS or 
	"rawrite" utility under the MSDOS OS for extracting the img to floppy disk.
	Ex: 1. for "dd" command
		dd if=/tmp/xxxx.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=16384 
	    2. for "rawrite" utility 
	    	rawrite -f xxxx.img -d a
