---------

This directory contains a TCP-based Chat application where the clients
and the server use threads.

The client-side classes:
* ChatClient
* ChatWatcher

The server-side classes:
* ChatServer
* ChatServerHandler
* ChatGroup
* Chatter

--------------------------
Compilation:

$ javac *.java

The compilation of ChatGroup generates 1 unchecked warning
in J2SE 5, due to its use of an un-generified ArrayList.

----------------------------
Execution:

1. Start the server:
      $ java ChatServer

2. Start the clients, e.g.
      $ java ChatClient
      $ java ChatClient

The examples are set up to run on the same machine
(i.e. the server's address is localhost).
